Mireya Villarreal is a veteran investigative reporter and current CBS News correspondent based in Los Angeles, California.  Mireya has reported on a range of stories for the network including police shootings, wildfires, and immigration issues. She was nominated for a 2018 Emmy award as part of the CBS team covering the 2017 Las Vegas shooting.

Before becoming a CBS correspondent in 2015, Mireya reported for television stations in Dallas, San Antonio, and the Rio Grande Valley. Mireya uncovered government corruption and reported on consumer issues during her time in Texas. Her coverage of excessive spending by DFW airport executives and board members won a Texas Lone Star Emmy award.
